I am a STORYTELLER.
I'm also an innovation consultant for Google Cloud, where storytelling is a big part of my work.
I live a bi-urban life with my husband, commuting between New York’s West Village and Philadelphia, where home is a converted factory-warehouse in Philly’s historic Brewerytown, just a half block from where the first ever interracial baseball game was played in 1869.
I was a featured screenwriter at New York’s 26th Annual IFP Market for my original screenplay, Confessions of a Dead Woman. My screenplay Killing Bull was awarded first place in the Screenwriters Online Master Class (2005).
I’m actively pursuing an ALM in Creative Writing at the Harvard Extension School, and working on my first novel. I just completed a novella, At the End of Aisle Seven.
After many years in San Francisco and New York, my husband and I bought a partially refurbished warehouse/factory in Philadelphia at the start of the 2020 pandemic. In addition to finding inspiration for our own creative endeavors, we house a maker studio, gallery, and event space. When we're not writing, painting or building in Philly, you can find us in the West Village and other parts of New York City breathing in the energy and vitality that almost no other place on earth can deliver.
I write stories about ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges, and how humans overcome adversity and the feeling of being an outsider by remaining true to themselves. I am inspired by creators who take risks, by crazy impossible ideas, and by my husband, Paul Wood.
